made in Portugal - children’s designer fashion
Having grown up in Europe, namely Portugal, I’d like to say, we have great stylists! I feel, however, that they don’t get the coverage they deserve or at least not to a whole lot of people. So… I’d like to introduce two brands “made in Portugal” that have amazing children’s clothing.
While living in Portugal - either in Braga, Oporto or Lisbon - where city life allows you to walk everywhere, it’s impossible to not be lured into a boutique or clothing store; their windows are usually quite inviting and define each season merrily :) One mandatory stop on diverse occasions was to LANIDOR; their clothes are amazing, from cut to cloth, to prints and color and fit (I won’t part with a particular pair of jeans I bought 7 years ago, putting them on every time they’ve been washed). I love their look! Only recently, however, after having become a mom, have I become familiar with their kids’ line… Take a look!:

The second brand, came as a complete novelty with a baby gift I was sent from a dear friend back in Lisbon: knot just for kids? Born in 2007, the line’s philosophy is to keep things “simple and beautiful” just like the little ones they’re made for. My youngest was complimented every time he wore his knot set.

Below are a couple of preloved items, from both names, peá roo will be showcasing later this week. Enjoy!
